It is a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Large-scale_brain_network\">large-scale brain network<\/a>\u00a0primarily composed of the\u00a0lateral parietal cortex, posterior cingulate cortex, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Medial_prefrontal_cortex\">medial prefrontal cortex<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Precuneus\">precuneus<\/a> and the entorhinal cortex. The DMN is prominent when the brain is in its quiet state of repose.<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Default_mode_network#cite_note-3\"><sup>[1]<\/sup><\/a> Several brain diseases, including Alzheimer\u2019s Disease and Parkinson\u2019s Disease has been associated with dysfunctional DMN.<sup>[2]<\/sup><\/p>\n<p>In a nutshell, the Default Mode Network (DMN) has been linked to the general health of the brain and is involved in various domains of cognitive and social processing. The brain responds to pulse rate stimulation in specific ways. When we stimulate a healthy brain in gamma (40 Hz), we can elevate the amplitude of gamma and other fast waves in alpha and beta in the brain while reducing those of the slow delta and theta\u00a0<sup>[3]<\/sup>. Independent researchers have found success in the use of the Vielight Neuro Gamma for dementia\u00a0<sup>[4]<\/sup>\u00a0, Parkinson\u2019s Disease\u00a0<sup>[5]<\/sup>\u00a0; and the Vielight Alpha (10 Hz) in traumatic brain injury\u00a0<sup>[6]<\/sup>\u00a0.
